Calmer Chameleon

Today was the last day of our road trip and it was a good ‘un.

The sun came out and so did the tourists; deffo an improvement on Great Yarmouth.

We were up early for breakfast and decided to visit the Seal Sanctuary.
It had just opened as we arrived, so we got a good look around before more people arrived.
One of the baby seals was fascinated with my crutches, it was funny to watch it following the crutch along the path (there was a child/wheelchair height window in all of the exhibits).
They had a variety of other animals there too, plus a small aquarium, butterfly and bird houses and the reptile house.
I particularly liked this guy, he looks like he’s smiling and seemed happy to pose for a portrait.

Mr A wheeled me down the prom and along the pier and we had the obligatory ice cream before setting off for home.

Traffic was kind to us, with no hold ups or delays. We did however stop at a garden centre where we found the poppies we’ve been after for a while, so we decided to buy them in plant form rather than attempting seeds again.

As always it’s nice to be home and we are both looking forward to our dark, quiet room and big comfy bed :-)
