Clarity

The final day of a trip is always finds me thoughtful.  Having to put your bag up on deck so the crew can change the sheets on the bunks for the next group makes you realise your special experience is coming to an end.  The next group were a mens group whose focus would be fishing and diving.  I had packed up my camera and lenses but had to get it out again because the morning was stunning.  A pink dawn and the mist would move and these reflections appeared.  Even Matt the crewman was impressed and kept popping out to the back deck with his phone to take pictures.
The helicopter arrived on the beach and ferried us back out to Manapouri Airport and the flight was another clear one until we hit the low cloud over Manapouri.  Somehow the pilot found a hole and down we went to the hanger.
