Flügel is moulting out of breeding plumage into 'eclipse', and seems to be getting more brown by the day. Second extra shows how ragged Koi is looking up close! Their tameness does offer unusual possibilities with the macro lens...
I spent quite a while out with them in the morning, and apparently tired them out so much that they lay down to snooze under the bikes when we let them out in the middle of the day.
