Farne Islands 2

We've had another wonderful day - early on we went to snap poppies and lupins growing on edges of the dunes - splendid sight; then we went to see terns - could not find them today but did find a pool with avocets.
This afternoon we went on another trip to the Farne Islands and had a wonderful, full hour on the island unlike the first trip. It is so wonderful just sitting watching all the magical birds interacting. Could have spent a lot longer but we are time limited sadly.
It was hot until very late on when it started to rain - thankfully we were indoors by then.
Home for a wonderful fish and chip supper - no catering tonight!
