Us Vs the possums

As sheep are to New Zealand, possums are to Burradoo Estate. Today we decided we have had enough of possums quietly munching away every night on our pansies.You can see from the three lower photos the results of their dining al fresco at night. They apparently love beautiful flowers, especially purple flowers. As soon as our brave little pansies produce a flower the possums have it for dinner.

Well, we have declared 'game on!' We don't know if our first effort with wire mesh will help but at least it will make their dining table less comfortable.
