Back home

Mrs. K. thanks everyone for their kind good wishes for the rapid recovery of her strained ankle.

This morning I have driven her back home from North Wales to Arnside so we have had to abandon our short nature holiday.
There was no chance of doing five mile walks with our friends when even five yards is a rather  painful challenge.

Back home and it is good to see that the long awaited rain which arrived yesterday has prompted the runner beans to begin their spiral climb up the poles.
They are an excellent example of recycling as they are the same beans which Mrs. K’s father grew in the Isle of Wight in the 1960s. At the end of each summer a number of beans are saved for growing the following year.
