A Day Worth Recording

Rooster Roster

We've a boardgaming couple staying with us for a couple of days.  They're relatively new to modern boardgaming so it was an opportunity for them to explore some of the games they'd only heard about.

The game here is Viticulture, something of a modern classic.  Predictably a game about making wine, from planting vines through to shipping orders.

The 'turn order' isn't a simple going round the table, but each round starts with people choosing whether they want to go early or late, early has advantages on the main board; later gets you other advantages like more vines, money, even extra workers.  The 'chickens' record in which order people are going (thematically: how quickly they get up in response to the rooster crowing in the morning).
