On the beach

We have spent nearly all day on the beach at Achmelvic just up the road.

We met the family at 11.00 and then it was non stop. Eda has done lots of digging and frisbee throwing but when she saw daddy going out on the body board she wanted to go too. They went across to a little ‘secret’ bay and this is them as they arrived back, Eda’s expression says it all. (Yet again better definition in large)

Grace went out later and Eda wanted to go with her too and when they returned they all went in the water! Rather them than me but there were others swimming.

Jude stayed on the beach and was quite happy as long as she was in the rug, not going to put her feet down in that sand!

About 4.00 we returned to Lochinver and they wanted a warming drink, not surprising really. Only Lochinver Larder open being a Sunday so we stopped for coffees from the marquee and John bought two hot pies for us to share. Rhubarb and strawberry and a new one to me, pear, almond and chocolate. Delicious, that will be one to have again next year!
So great to spend this special time with them. 

Luckily we only had a little pie as we are booked in at  Peet’s for dinner tonight, another seafood restaurant.

Thank you for the hearts and stars for last night’s light over the water. Whilst I was busy taking those pictures there was apparently a dog otter to be seen just over the sea wall! I always miss them!
