A pool?

I thought it would be fun to have a  pool in the back patio to try to get cool outside, but I’ll bet any water in the brick surrounded space would be hot right now. Might keep the squirrels out.  (altho we put red pepper in the feeder and I haven’t yet seen a squirrel on it)  My phone says 97F at 5:00PM  ..yesterdays high was 102 and today was supposed to be hotter.  Edit : the official record was 103, tying the existing record from 1945.   It’s hotter in Portland,)   Seattle has the highest percentage (56%) of homes with no air conditioning of any major US city.  Neither of our son"s houses have any. (We haven't seen them over here....)  We are lucky...Well, just a couple more days of this heat now .... but this climate change is not going away any time soon.  Scary.
