Wading for Gordot

Meet Gordot the Ibis. I like these guys. They're not the fanciest birds on the pond, but possess a certain unprepossessing elegance nonetheless.

The title was meant to be a play on words but nearly had a another, more literal, meaning. As I was slowly putting myself in a better position to take a second shot, my eye glued to the viewfinder, I realized I was half a step away from wishing I had my wellies on.

Unfortunately the resulting commotion startled Gordot and he flew off. Fortunately I got the first shot and didn't drop the camera .... and the adventure continues.
