First bus journey since March 2020

Woke up feeling the need to go somewhere different for a change. A friend went to Swanage last week, and was tempted.

Checked the Breezer 50 (open-top) times, and then announced to Mr B he had 30 mns to shower. Bus arrived empty so had the front row upstairs. A couple of stops later and it was full.

The heavens were due to open mid afternoon (they didn’t!). So to avoid a queue for the bus, and the rain, took the 1:35 back.

We had lovely 2 hours in Swanage. Got off the bus a couple of stops before the station. So nice walk down to the beach, around town. And stopped for a flat white and snack in our fave café there, luckily finding a table in the shade.

Now watching 2 programmes about David Hockney. Must see his stained glass window in Westminster Abbey (installed in 2018) - how did I not know about it??? It’s totally amazing. Credit to the Dean of Westminster for the choice of artist.

Thanks to Majoayee for today’s Mono Monday challenge ‘Take off’. My entry shows tourism is now taking off for the Summer Season.
