Wishes

Tanabata is celebrated in early July.
One popular Tanabata custom is to write your wish on a piece of paper, and hang that piece of paper on a specially erected bamboo tree, in the hope that the wish comes true.

My wish is that the woofer will be ok. A routine check-up uncovered a heart problem. He has daily medication and a monthly ultrasound to look forward to. I, meanwhile, am self medicating with white wine and cheese snacks.
