A Day In The Life

Honey Kissed

Maine’s state insect is the honeybee. I was so pleased to see one on the newly opened milkweed flowers. As Victor Hugo said “Life is the flower for which love is the honey.” • It was a miserably hot and humid morning but a cold front is moving through the northeast this afternoon kicking off rain and thunderstorms, some severe. We’re hoping for rain only and looking forward to more normal temperatures starting tomorrow • Unexpectedly we went to the local walk-in clinic to have MrsP’s mystery insect bite looked at. It happened a couple of days ago and has worsened enough that we were concerned for an infection. Thankfully all is well and she was sent home with instructions to soak her finger in epsom salts twice per day. Of course the bite is near the tip of her right middle finger so you can imagine all of the obscene hand gestures I’ve had to put up with. No, not really, I’m just kidding. MrsP would never do that…hmmm, or would she? ;)
