Gone fishin'

Woke up to another very hazy morning, but assuming that it would clear as seems to have become the norm we got ready to go out for a wander along the shore somewhere. On the way out we had a browse at the local charity bookshop which is just at the end of the road - no, I'm not allowed say! - and then stood for a while on the harbour edge waiting for the resident heron to do something. He eventually did and I decided to Blip him - with an extra as well. We then drove along the single-track road to Ardalanish and walked down to the beach between some more gorgeous flower meadows More seas of buttercups, red clover and foxgloves with plenty of orchids here and there - heath spotted and northern marsh.

Arrived at the beach to find it impossibly crowded - there was already one person there and before long three more folk arrived with two dogs! Ha! This on a beach only a few hundred yards long! When the crowds had moved on I took a picture of Mrs M trying to find room to walk - my second extra.

After devising some artistic seaweed and shell art on the beach we retired to Fionnphort for a pub lunch, then came back to the flat to sort things out and get packed up to go home - we're on the 7.35 ferry this evening. All-in-all a wonderful few days.
