You can take a dog off the streets... (E)

...but you can't take the streets out of a street dog!
She's got a rug on the back deck under the sun brolly but no - she has to lie on the cobbles. Each time somebody says hello she runs in to get a toy to show them. Like a kid showing off. She never normally plays with her toys just sleeps with teddy.
Funny girl! 

Gorgeous weather today - dare I say...too hot!
However thinking about those in the U S we are so fortunate.

We went on the 5 Weirs Walk today - part of the Trans Pennine Trail. It's a lovely walk along the river and they have made a real effort on those parts but sometimes the trail has to come out onto the road which is noisy, partly derelict and very littered. If only people would appreciate what they are given for their leisure time instead of trashing it.
Here I go again -on my soapbox!
My kids had it drummed into them never to drop litter on the street and our grandchildren are taught the same.
It doesn't take much. 

Anyway, we've had a lovely day. 
We saw loads of ladybirds but hardly a butterfly even on a buddleia bush. 

Tea time now and that leftover curry!
