More Wainwrights

I’m slightly apprehensive after the Great End boulder experience but it’s our last full day and we have more Wainwrights to do!
We head up to Buckbarrow and from there to Seatallan - with fabulous view across to Scafell, and Scafell Pike and Great End where we walked a couple of days ago (this is the thumbnail in a gap in the cloud) - views down to WastWater and there are a couple of pretty tarns too, although despite the fact that wall to wall sunshine is forecast from noon, there’s a thin misty haze and intermittent clouds blowing over. To be honest it’s a relief, and I love these atmospherics - although I’m not sure my photography does. From here we cross to Middle Fell, (it on this stretch we have our first encounter with another couple - it’s felt deserted) another place to enjoy the Wasdale scenics, with views of Whin Rigg and Illgill Head that we walked on Sunday across WastWater - it’s our easiest Wainwright Walk of the week and we’re at the car before 3 and then back for a last soak in the hot tub. We decide we deserve fish and chips!
What amazing weather this week, and how wonderful the Lake District has looked. We’ve added another 8 to our Wainwright tally
The extra montage gives more of a feel of the day
