English gardens

My role as nurse and househusband to a slowly recovering wife (who is getting a little more mobile each day) has left me little time for visiting our local nature reserves.

But I was able to find two hours to go to the first meeting of the local discussion group of which I am a member. It has not met since March last year. Our first session was predictably to talk about the effect which the Pandemic has had on our lives.
Incidentally the group was established in Arnside in 1943 and has put the world to rights every two weeks since then.

Walking back home through the village allowed me to see how the English love their gardens. Here is an example. The blue plant in the foreground is an Eryngium.
