You know it’s all about that Bass...

11 years since we last landed on the Bass Rock, and while it may not have the same mystique of a first trip, it’s still an amazing thing to be sitting in amongst all of those Gannets.

Stunning birds that I spent plenty time trying to get photos of as they came in to land. At their most inelegant.

The 5am start wake up call wasn’t entirely welcome, but worth it in the end. Especially given it’s also a day off (after working till 11pm last night, and probably logging on over the weekend, sigh). A few extras. Love their pinstriped feet (which they encase an egg in), and just lots and lots of Gannets....
