Flower Friday

 . . . so what else? Normal service is about to be resumed . . .

       July 4th (Sunday) the day when the American congress of the various colonies declared their independence from Britain enumerating all the gripes they had with farmer George III; but if you are of an historical bent there followed several years of conflict (the rumblings of which began in 1755!) after 1776 until a treaty was signed in September 1783 - well, that's how I remember it. I get a bit grumpy this time of year - it's the weather don'tcha know.
