Day 467 Lavender blue

Today's FF shot is of the same lavender bush used for yesterday's abstract shot and for the second day running I have chosen admittedly a rather late in the evening moment, when no insects were visiting.  At the right time of day the bees are all around them and last year I managed to capture a lone ladybird climbing one flower. This year I don't think that I've yet seen a ladybird.
In other news: on the home front, we managed to make the new house look rather more like a home.  The tiling in the kitchen will be grouted tomorrow morning and after a final push, we hope that Daughter #2  and Violet can move in from Tuesday.
On the sporting front, it was not a great surprise that we saw Mr Murray  play for the final time this year at Wimbledon. The victor, 22 year old Denis Shapovalov, was gracious in the extreme, giving space for for Andy to receive a standing ovation from the crowd and paying him a wonderful tribute in his post match interview.  As to whether Andy Murray can continue to play at this level yet remains to be seen.

Many thanks always to BikerBear for her hosting of Flower Friday.
