Day 468 Football may be coming home....

My picture is not related to the title as I avoid taking pictures of the TV screen.  This evening we had an early takeaway dinner before settling down to watch the England team beat the Ukraine 4-0.  England's next match is against Denmark, but will be played at Wembley.
Also on the sporting front, Mr Federer is into the next round.  He did beat a Brit to do this but I confess that I tend to be Team Federer whatever!

My unrelated picture is of one of our hanging baskets which is just outside the dining room doors.  The only way we can grow petunias is off the ground and even then this week we have spotted two intrepid slugs trying to make the journey to the baskets via the dining room doors!

Such was the excitement  of the day that I almost forgot to record that Peggy Sue made it to the vet for the first time in 6 years! She has previously become almost feral when we've attempted to get her into the cat carrier and previously pandemic we discussed  the possibility of house visits should she become unwell. Of course that couldn't  happen over the past 18 months and instead you have to hand your animal over at the door and wait to have them handed  back again.  Thanks to daughter #2 her original owner, we got her into the carrier and a cursory examination was given, with a plan to sedate her before further examinations of her hip and blood tests to find out the cause of her extreme  thirstiness.
