Good

..ie hand.

Walked the dogs with Mrs M at Rufford Abbey this morning, which I'd not visited for years and a real joy.

"The Hand" was designed by young people with learning difficulties, and their carers. Based on their experiences, and difficulties accessing leisure spaces, they worked with local sculptor and blacksmith Roger Lee.

They used Makaton, a picture language, using diagrams, symbols and gestures to communicate which helps young people with learning and language difficulties to communicate and is based on the symbol meaning “good".

Village Idiot
Spent a few (too many perhaps) fun hours supping a few ales down the local, with a close friend who's recently had a tough time. Not quite at my sharpest had a brief un-classy chat with the newbie village Lions Rugby icon and family.
