A Day In The Life

The Sequel

Here’s another resident of Fledglingville, an unsure of himself boyish bluejay. The excessive flapping of wings at feeders not meant for large birds like him shouts inexperience; or the way he pushes shelled peanuts out of the way with his beak in search of food; and most concerning of all the leisurely visits to the ground innocently oblivious to his surroundings. It’s a wonder any fledglings from Fledglingville survive their first few months, which causes great angst to the devoted caretakers of Fledglingville • Happy Saturday to all! It’s hard to believe we’re enjoying temperatures forty degrees less than what they were a few days ago. It’s so refreshing! And, it’s been raining off and on. The return of sun on Monday will be a welcoming sight • Tomorrow is Independence Day here in the US. A quiet day at home is planned but we’ll make sure it’s festive and fun!
