Inset day treat!

Well the last inset day was scuppered by lockdown 2. Should have been Naples and Pompeii, then Norfolk, then nothing. So this one could only be an improvement.

Early doors train to York. Breakfast of pancakes for him and bacon sandwich for me when we arrived. Then we went to Jorvik, which to be honest, didn't really hold his interest. A mooch around and then sandwiches for lunch before heading to Dig. Now that was excellent. Really interesting and hands on excavating. He loved it.

When he asked what time the train was he suddenly panicked that we were going to miss it, until I said "tomorrow". He was really surprised and very happy to hear we were staying over and had another day to do stuff tomorrow.

Tea was at the Table Table attached to the Premier Inn. He loved that too, fish and chips, cookie dough for pudding and a fizzy drink.
