Seven Hills of Edinburgh

We've lived in the Capital for nearly 30-years and have walked all of the 'Seven Hills of Edinburgh' individually, but never in "one go" ... today was the day :-)

We started by getting a bus into town and going up Calton Hill (top of the collage);  walked over to Castle Hill [the esplanade]; out to and up Corstorphine Hill; across to do Easter and Wester Craiglockhart Hill(s); along to Braid Hill; then over to Blackford Hill ...

... with those 6 done, we realised the 6pm booking we'd made for an end-of-expedition meal at 'The Sheep Heid Inn' was far too imminent to manage Arthur's Seat beforehand!; so we rushed directly to the pub, had a three course dinner and a couple of pints; all before setting off again to conquer Arthur's Seat (bottom of the collage - along with 'R' and myself at the Trig Point!).

Back over in the City, we caught a bus out to Shandon and got home just in time to watch England do rather well against Ukraine in the second half :-)

7 Hills; 17-miles; 3-course dinner; couple of pints; and England are in the semi-finals --- what a day!
