Diana's wedding dress

That dress hasn't aged well. Iconic of it's time but extremely dated now!

Carys had asked a while ago to revisit Kensington Palace as she didn't remember much. Well I think she was about 8 last time, maybe 9. We had a lovely morning there in the palace itself and then in the special exhibition looking at Royal Atelier's.

Before we went in I was given both Will and Carys's ballet exam results. Will got 73 in his G1 and a well deserved merit. Hopefully he will be pleased as he thought he had mucked it up. Carys, in her intermediate exam, was awarded 96/100 and a Distinction Outstanding! Apparently it was the highest mark the examiner has ever given out. Obviously her first thought was to wonder where she dropped the marks! As you do!

After the biggest slice of chocolate cake we walked over to South Ken, grabbed a coffee and then went into the V&A to see the RAD at 100 exhibition. It was a small exhibition but nicely done. She spotted two current upper school students in the video clips, who she has taken class with, identified various other professional dancers, that she has been taught by thanks to zoom, as younger versions of themselves, one of the pianists she regularly has in class and of course she found a picture of Gary partnering Darcey in her final performance.

Back home eventually and the last treat was a Thai takeaway to end a lovely couple of days.
