Garden visitor.

When we moved to this house eighteen years ago we made a big effort to make the garden deer proof. We knew that Mrs. K. would want to grow orchids and we also knew that Roe deer enjoyed eating the flower buds.
But we left just one section of the garden unfenced and the local deer used to come in there regularly.

But for the past five years they have never come.
Until this morning. This was the sight when the bedroom curtains were opened.

Good news for the Blipper in the family. But not so good for the head gardener as having seen no deer for some years she has recently planted some plum trees there.
