Helena Handbasket

It needed a chin-strap to prevent it from blowing away at the coast. There's not much point in a sun-hat that blows away, and neither is it helpful if your arm gets burned holding your hat on your head. So I bought some teal cotton to make a soft strap.
I was also going to need some wooden beads to use as a toggle on the strap and so I scoured the charity shops for cheap necklaces of acceptable wooden beads and this is the result, a medley of beads from a necklace and a bracelet. Some of the beads from each of the two were not to my taste so I need to find a home for those.
But I also found another necklace that looks so good I might just have to buy a second hat.
