Finally!

We were super excited that today had finally arrived and we were able to see some of the family - and hug them!  I could hardly contain myself, waiting for the ferry to come in. Seeing Renata and Kalyn for the first time in nearly a year and meeting Spencer in person brought me pure joy. The best hugs ever!  
We stopped in town for a few minutes to pick up some last minute groceries then headed home to relax. Well, almost relax, because we were looking forward to watching the Italy/Belgium game together - and Italy won!  Our chorus of loud cheers might have alarmed the neighbours!  We cooked a delicious dinner, everyone pitching in with the prep, the cooking and clean up. It was just so enjoyable to have "too many cooks in the kitchen".  We did have a relaxing evening hanging out.  A wonderful reconnection after so long of FaceTime and phone visits. Have to admit it felt strange not to wear masks and be able to hug - strange, but absolutely fantastic!
