The Wilderness

We went to look at some doors and verandas today in Bidford-on-Avon. We are just a bit more confused now about everything. If you could mix and match features from all the different suppliers we would be there, but no single manufacturer seems to offer exactly what we want.

We only drove through Bidford village, but it looked nice and worth a return visit I think.

Afterwards we made a flying visit to the FIL's house in Castle Bromwich. We haven't heard any more about the sale progress but we can't really chase anyone up as we still haven't got the probate sorted. It's been over the promised 8 weeks now so we will have to make a few phone calls I think. The house is OK, though the back garden is looking rather wild now. The front is OK as the neighbour has been cutting the lawn.

This morning the shredding company collected 5 bags of mainly financial papers we had collected from the house. They put them in a large wheelie bin which they locked and took back to the lorry. I have been impressed with the service, though it was fairly expensive.

We also had what might be our last Hello Fresh delivery today. They included a pack of microwavable lime & coriander Tilda rice, which I thought was stretching things a bit. In previous recipes they would have provided a lime to zest and juice, and fresh coriander.

Funny that 12 months ago I also commented 'you can't always get what you want'.
