Dead Lane

This trail, although undoubtedly ancient, is new to me. It shows as a track on the OS leisure map, so I'd planned it into a new mountain bike route. The reality was clearly some way from our map-maker's view and as I remarked to a walker on passing by, this might well be the first and last time I try this one on two wheels!
