This Way

We cut our walk short this morning: too hot. We don't get the triple digits that plague the interior, but hot for us is still hot for us and there was no way I was going to drag myself uphill in such heavy sun. A side trip through the organic campus farm was a nice consolation prize. There's always something interesting to see there. Like an experimental planting of celtuce. New one on me.

Our knitting group met here in the backyard, and sitting under the kiwi arbor was magical. The dripping vines make a cozy little shelter, but don't stop the gentle wind. L said, "Oh, when that little breeze comes up I just want to purr!" We agreed that meeting outside with lots of space is still the way to go.
