Cuddles in the Kitchen

We had a lovely evening at Gemma and Jason’s with a Thai takeaway from The Three Tuns in Abington.
We thought about Alfie all day, wondering if he was ok, what he was doing and if he was having a good time. We followed his journey there and back and were very relieved to see him arrive home safely at 9.30. He wasn’t very communicative when we got back but I think he had a good day.
In the latest Promdemonium update, we got Poppy’s dress back from the seamstress then poppy decided she didn’t like it anymore. She ordered a new one this week which she does like but it needs taking in. I spoke to another seamstress and made an appointment to see her tomorrow afternoon. At 4.30 this afternoon, Linton Village College sent out an email cancelling the Prom because ‘ the increase of infection rates…concerns us.’
Well, thanks a lot. We now have to cancel hair, make up and car for the second time. Why not tell us 2 weeks ago that it wasn’t going to happen rather than keep everyone hanging on?? They’ve said they might do something in the autumn but I don’t think the young people are going to want to go back 5 or 6 months after leaving. They’ll have moved on by then. I’m in discussions with another mum about trying to put something on for them at the end of the month. We shall see…
