"The Wind In My Sails"

.....The very large Black Cormorant - he appears on this rock very often, and when his wings are expanded to dry out from his fishing here and there in the river - he almost takes up the whole rock - so I expect it may also be a signal to others nearby -that it's now his very own pad, thankyou very much..just get your own...
Admittedly, the others do keep a distance from him for one reason or another....

....I almost blipped the barbecue we were having down by the river, with the old P.S. Melbourne shuffling by with many tourists, on board today, another lovely day, down by the riverside....

Or maybe the Murray magpie which came to visit, or the 4 houseboats all creating a mellee together, - (one had run out of fuel) - waiting previously for the P.S. Melbourne to come out of the Lock, or even the colorful pigeons, magpies, the fish-hawks, Murray minors, galahs, or the bull-ant that bit me on the ankle - or my ankle, but it just had to be - The Black Cormorant, today...
