Down our street

We drove down to Saltcoats this afternoon, a three hour journey to this town on the North Ayrshire coast. We're staying in an Airbnb, a flat opposite the railway in a rather ordinary street; our entrance is round the back, overlooking a number of rather scruffy enclosed gardens.

A rather dodgy door leads up a stair to the front door; inside, however, all is fine. A clean, well equipped flat which will do us very well for two nights. We're here to attend a wedding tomorrow just down the coast, not far away. The intention was for the four of us to come, but because of the regulations the wedding list was cut from 100 to 50 and our daughters were 'univited', if there's such a word.

We've not been here before, but the flat is only a short walk from the esplanade so maybe in the morning, weather permitting, we'll have an explore before going to the wedding.
