Drumlin View

There's an awful  lot of these oval shaped hills  around Kendal and moving here means  I've learnt a bit of geology.  These  half egg shaped hills are formed by a glacier passing over unconsolidated ground underneath.  The steep end is the end the glacier approached from. This one looks symmetrical because we are approaching from one end.   Here the faster walkers in our Tuesday group are striding ahead towards one.
