St Mary's Loch

For some relaxation after our busy day yesterday it was decided to go to Dawyck Garden.
Somehow along the way (that is, Mr Flum wasn't concentrating...) we changed that to Megget Reservoir so drove from the A701 to the 702, the 72 to the 701, stopping at Broughton for a very nice light lunch at the Laurel Bank Tearoom.
We turned off for Talla, stopping briefly for a view over Megget, where I found the object featured in the extra photo, which I think might interest the Flumlet on his next visit,  then at the dam for the view over to St Mary's Loch.

From here we joined the A708 at Cappercleuch and followed the Yarrow Valley (missing the Yarrow stone, to be rectifies another time) then pausing at the Waterwheel Cafe (which does not have a view of a waterwheel from the building, but would bear a more detailed visit) for a delicious Giacopazzi's ice cream (made in Eyemouth) before pootling home via Selkirk and the A7.

A grand day out.
