Abstract Thursday: Lines

It’s getting annoying seeing all these sunny, warm blips from people elsewhere in the country when we still have damp and dreary weather!  We must be on the edge of the system that has caused all the floods in Germany and Belgium but thankfully we haven’t had anything like they have.  Dreadful scenes of devastation on the news.

I had to wait in for two deliveries which (of course) arrived late afternoon, so I decided to have a go at the Abstract Thursday challenge of ‘lines’.  Some curved lines here; a view down through an antique water glass.  It’s part of a set of glasses and matching jug that we picked up in an antique shop in Chagford, Devon, a few years ago and are much admired.  The rather physchedelic pattern on the base is simply the result of standing the glass on my iPad as a light source.
