A Spitfire Built For Two

A beautiful marbled white butterfly was flitting about in our field today but I didn't manage to capture it. :( It's only the second time that I have seen one of these on our property.

I did manage to get a shot of this Spitfire which flew over this morning. "Elizabeth" NH341 was built in Castle Bromwich and delivered to Grizzly Bear Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force on 12th June 1944. She saw service over the post D-Day battlefields. Her restoration included the conversion to a two-seat configuration and she is now operated by Aero Legends to allow their customers to experience flying in a Spitfire.
