Fungi village

Looks like this compost had a special ingredient!

What a scorcher ofa day! I hid away for most of it apart from a trip to the hairdresser and a visit to the card shop to pick up some balloons and bunting. This time I remembered to take a big black bin bag to hold the inflated balloons as I walked them home. That was much easier than wrestling them home like last time.

Leo and his mates went out after school for a few hot sweaty hours of footie.  He rang to be picked up afterwards as he couldn’t face the long upward stretch home.   The locals always give the teenagers such a hard time complaining that they leave litter all over the community fields when they play there.  Leo and his mate hopped in the car with three large bags of rubbish that Leo brought home for recycling/binning so  not all teenagers are as bad as they make out.  It was obviously thirsty work as there were about 20 drink plastic bottles to recycle!  No wonder the pair of them fancied a lift.

Leo managed to play without annoying his bruises and scabs so hopefully he will be as right as rain before long.  He has a pre tournament goalie training session on Monday that I thought might be dodgy as he wouldn’t be able to get his gloves on but it looks like his fingers should heal over just in time.
