Snap, crackle, and pop

Time for some liquid refreshments.

The shower is finished. I tested it out. We had a couple of issues remaining, one of which may still need a resolution but the other is fixed.

It's a wonderful shower! I felt pretty wonderful myself afterwards.

A discussion regarding dinner led to a request for bread and cheese, so we had to go to Lerclerc for a few items...

When we emerged from the mayhem that is the Saturday Supermarket experience, we realised that we had forgotten to replenish our red wine supplies. Happily, Leclerc have their own Cave just along the road a bit and we called in on our way home.

I was taken by their planting of grape vines grown as standards and the colourful daisies beneath. This has saved us from a shot of the shower, or one of the cat.

Take no note of their opening hours - in best French tradition the shop's actual opening hours bear no relation to those advertised. They are very much fermé of a Lundi, also they close for 90 minutes midday :-) Bring late out today we caught them open. We came home with some of their excellent Pamplemousse Rose, several bottles of good red wine, and a dessert bottle for tonight. Also.... Bison Rillettes!

A very civilised shopping experience with friendly and helpful staff.

Plans to zoom off in the van are firming up and we have a tentative destination in Charente. Keeping an eye on numbers using the site before we finalise plans (we like things quiet).
