We were considering a trip to Charente, leaving home on Tuesday so that we would be able to dine out at some point. The weather forecast showed temperatures rising through the week so this morning were considering other, cooler, destinations.

Nell and I left the plumber to it and went for our walk, during which I got to thinking that it might be a good idea to get away earlier and enjoy the cooler weather.

So here we are, en route to Indre, where not only are lower temperatures forecast but the Covid numbers are very low.

It's been a bit of a rush and quite a hard day in the heat so I am looking forward to flopping when we arrive.
