This morning was beautiful - blue sky, sunshine, warm.  The calm after the storm and, as it turned out, before the storm, because this afternoon we had wind and torrential rain again.  Our planned trip to Rangitoto Island was cancelled last night because of the weather.  This morning we wondered why, but this afternoon we were very thankful we weren’t out in the open getting drenched.  We were very excited to see our first daffodil (top left) appear today.  Hubby planted 100 assorted bulbs, so it will be interesting to see what else pops up.  Bottom left is St Heliers beach this morning and top right is tonight’s sunset. Bottom left is an interesting little sculpture on the wall at St Andrews Village, where we took my Mum, along with my sister and brother-in-law, to dinner at The Terraces Restaurant to celebrate Mum’s 94th birthday.  An interesting, varied day.
