Some fish

Watching fish is relaxing, so here are some fish to look at.

Outside was not quite as relaxing, in fact it was very noisy as there was a massive demonstration taking place. As people are not allowed to congregate in groups of more than five, the demonstrators came up with a solution. They took to their motor bikes, cars and trucks and with horns blasting they drove around the city. We saw the end of the demo as we were heading out. It was not intimidating. If you know "The Hunger Games" you will know the three finger salute which has become the gesture that is now commonly used during these demonstrations. So what is it all about? The simple answer is vaccinations, or the lack of vaccinations. Having been told that the manufacturer didn't deliver the ordered amount, it has now been revealed that no vaccine was ordered. This was because Thailand decided to make it's own. If you know anything about making vaccines you will realise that it is not easy to do. In fact it takes years. In the meantime we are facing yet another lock down. From Tuesday restaurants will not be allowed to serve alcohol, we cannot use public transport (unless the destination is Phuket). We are just hoping that restaurants aren't forced to provide a takeaway service only. A few of the restaurants that we use wouldn't survive.
