Southern Hawker

Another Southern Hawker left the pond this morning. I nearly missed him. He was already quivering as his wings dried and nearly ready for take off. I only had time for a couple of quick shots before he flew up to the treetops. It's not as sharp as I would like, but I particularly like the bulging eyes of the exuvia in the shot. Isn't it amazing that something so ugly conceals something so beautiful?
