South Coast Scribblings

Over the fence

These lovely roses are in next door’s garden.

Have been trying to relax today after a traumatic incident yesterday.  We heard awful shouting and screaming echoing across from one of the two occupied flats at the end of our garden.  It really sounded like someone was being attacked.  Stuart phoned the police as we couldn’t find a phone number for the sheltered accommodation that they live in.  The police said we had done the right thing and sent an officer round.  He then phoned us back and said it was two people with severe dementia and the staff were trying to get them settled in.  I wasn’t at all sure that it was safe for them to live in a flat with a balcony, but I suppose it must be….my nerves are a bit on edge at the moment anyway and I won’t sit in the garden now in case it happens again as it sounded so dreadful.  All has been quiet today, thankfully.
