Planet Earth in Ely Cathedral

We moved in south westerly direction today, calling in at Ely before heading for a new campsite in a village south of Cambridge. It was very hot again so we enjoyed the relative cool of the interior of Ely Cathedral. What a wonderful feat of architecture this was, being built from the late 11th century onwards. I was really taken with this art installation of the earth suspended and rotating in the centre of the cathedral. It is made up of thousands of photographs of our planet taken from space.
