Another Scorcher

I did go out on my bike at lunchtime, post office - health centre - work, the breeze making the heat bearable but it's no surprise that we have a weather warning for extreme heat here this week.  Out of the breeze which has died away this evening, the heat is oppressive.

Another day of mostly indoor jobs plus two loads of laundry - one was puppy blankets and towels - which are drying in record time at present.   After work Jamie and I took the dogs out for their respective walks long after sunset when it was a little cooler.

Achimenes MM's Mihail, tall and with large, somewhat spaced out flowers.  It's the first time I've grown it, next year there will be more in the pot which will show the flowers off better if the performance of the others is a guide.  MM is presumably the initials of the raiser as there are many hybrids with this Prefix.
