St Cuthbert is doing alright..

My plans to do my usual volunteering stint at the Moat today were scotched, due to the A41 Albrighton bypass being closed for resurfacing. I spent a heated and frustrating half an hour trying to find an alternative route but all the linking back lanes were closed as well..
So I went to walk along Humphreyston Brook as it meanders through Donington nature reserve, otherwise known as Donington Meadow.
Lots of history, sublime views, wildlife and nature in abundance.
Including St Cuthbert's Well which is known to have existed from the 19th century but thought to originate in medieval times. A delightful diversion on a sweltering hot and sunny day.

Extras:

Sculptures dotted around the reserve and delectable views.
