Tyred out ......

Another busy day.
The shearing gang back today to do the other hill ewes.
Dropped Littlemiss off next door to help roll wool and then spent the day sheeting the silage pit. First job was to get Kev to roll the pit face with a tractor so that I could get up it with the wee tractor to roll the top part in among the roof. A bit less stressful than yesterday ,but still need to watch you don't rub the cab or exhaust off the purlins.
Then spent the rest of the day chucking tyres onto the sheet to keep it down and keep the air out so the silage won't spoil. Kev carting them round from the pile of tyres and me chucking them about the top of the pit.
By 5 pm and 2000 odd tyres later we had the job sorted.
Spent the evening hanging another gate across the yard end as the telehandler and buckrake managed to mangle the other one yesterday. They must have moved the post too as when the gate is open it's sitting at 45 degrees! Adds a bit of character to the place, but it's upsetting my OCD so will need to get a chain round it and try to pull it straight when I get time.
